Cross Country Training

Well Done to all students that particpated in the school cross country last Friday. It was great to see so many having a go.

The CCPS zone team will be announced shortly and students will recieve a note with practice times at the end of this week.

The training mornings are avaliable for students that would like to come and build their fitness base to have a good opportunity to move onto the regional level. If you can make it we would love to see you there.

Training Times;
1st Week Holidays - Mon & Wed Morning 8-8.45am
2nd Week Holidays - Mon, Tue, Wed 7.15am - 8am
Term 2 (Weeks 1-3) - Mon, Wed & Fri 7.15 - 8am

PSSA Trials - 9th April Cancelled

ALL PSSA trials for Wednesday 9th April have been cancelled due to the grounds / court being unsafe and wet weather in the area.

Trials will again be held on Friday 11th April at 8-9am at either Holly St oval (soccer & AFL) or the school court (Netball)

Term 2 School Sport

Notes have gone home this week with selection choices for Term 2 school sport.

Please do not hand in your note to your teachers or office, they need to be handed to Mr Griffiths outside the year 3 classroom on Thursday and Friday morning (from 9am) in week 11.

All students should fill in a note even if they are trying out for PSSA sport.

Winter PSSA Trials

PSSA Try outs for Term 2 & 3 PSSA will be held in week 11 of Term 1 and week 1 of Term 2.

The sports offered are Netball (girls only), AFL (years 3&4 only) and Soccer (mixed teams)

Trials will be on Wednesday & Friday mornings from 8am - 9am.

AFL & Soccer - Holly St Oval
Netball - School Court

PSSA teams will be announced in wk 2 of Term 2 and competition is on each Friday from 1pm - 3pm.

Cross Country Day - Fri 4th April

This Friday 4th April will be the schools Cross Country carnival.

It will be held at Holly St Oval from 1pm.

The 7yr / 8yr & 9yr will race first @ 1pm, followed by the 10yrs, 11yrs & 12/13yrs being the last race at approx 2pm.

The top 5 runners in the 8/9yrs, 10 yrs, 11yrs & 12/13yrs will go onto the zone carnival in Term 2.

School Sport Beghins Wk 4

School sport for years 3-6 will begin this Friday 22nd February. Please ensure if you are in Tennis that you bring your tennis racquet and have paid the office your coaching money. Students in cricket may bring their own bat, no other sports require any equipment to be brought to school.

Welcome Back To 2008

Welcome back to all students and parents to another packed sporting year at CCPS.

The swimming carnival has been swam and won and congradulations to the 38 students who will represent CCPS at the Zone Swimming Event to be held on the 11th March @ Lane Cove.

We have a new sports notice board on the 3-6 side next to the canteen window along side the hall. This notice board will have all the latest news, draws, teams and rosters placed on it for all to view.
